February is jam-packed with fun for the whole family, and we are looking forward to more events as spring unfolds. Find the highlights below. For the complete details, view our February meeting minutes.

Valentine’s Day Semi-Formal
This event is coming up Friday, February 15 at 6:30 pm. We have already received a number of ticket orders, and we are expecting a nice crowd! This is going to be a great event with plenty of activities and entertainment for everyone. For more information, view our Program of Events.
Please submit ticket orders no later than Monday, February 11 to receive pre-order pricing. Tickets will be available at the door, but at a slightly higher price. You can print and return the Valentines flyer with payment to either FRES or LCS on Monday. Thank you in advance!
After a few roadblocks, we have rescheduled our game night for February 21 from 5-8 pm. This event is structured to provide free game play to all attendees, featuring premium family games geared to players ages 2 and up. Chef Deb is also providing a Taco Dinner, $5 per person, and an Ice Cream Sundae bar, $3 per person.
Fifth Grade Gurus Needed!
Fifth graders have been invited to act as Game Gurus and lead games at the event. We need as many Gurus as we can get, so if your child is in fifth grade, please return the Guru Volunteer form we sent home last week. Games will be available for purchase and all profits go to the 5th grade yearbook fund. See you there!
Artist In Residence
PTO is proud to support the Artist in Residence program at FRES with a donation again this year. We are looking forward to the visit from African Drummer Theo Martey and a special performance featuring the third graders on March 15 to culminate the residence.
FRES Nurse, Kim Sheridan is planning to offer a Holiday Shop next year. This one day event is in the planning stages, but would allow all students to purchase inexpensive items for their families before the December break. If you are interested in helping her with this event, please contact her.
Our March meeting will be March 7 and will be a combined meeting with the WLC Coop Connection. We are excited to welcome representatives of the C.A.S.T. program run by the Boys and Girls Club of Souhegan Valley to present at this event. They will be speaking about educational opportunities about preventing substance abuse and promoting healthy choices for youth throughout the Souhegan Valley. This program was brought to the PTO by LCS nurse, Laura Gifford.
